Description :
Sindhudurg Fort is one of the most iconic sea forts in India, built between 1664 and 1667 by the great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Located on a rocky island near Malvan, Sindhudurg Fort stands as a powerful symbol of Maratha valor, naval strength, and architectural brilliance. Spread across 48 acres, the fort was designed to safeguard the Konkan coast from foreign invaders like the English, Dutch, Portuguese, and Siddis of Janjira.
