Napne Waterfall, located in the small village of Napne in Vaibhavwadi Tehsil, Sindhudurg, is a rare gem in the Konkan region. Unlike other seasonal monsoon waterfalls, Napne flows throughout the year, making it a unique destination for nature lovers. Originating from a natural spring in Nadhavde, the waterfall cascades down after a 4–5 km journey, surrounded by lush greenery and dense forests of the Western Ghats. The pristine environment, rich flora and fauna, and diverse bird species make it a perfect spot for a day excursion filled with peace, beauty, and adventure.
How to Reach:
- By Road: From NH-66 (Old NH-17), you can turn left at Talere and drive via Nadhavde village to reach Napne.Alternatively, turn left at Nadgive and join the Nadhavde–Napne road midway. The road is motorable and in fairly good condition.
- By Rail: Vaibhavwadi Road Railway Station – ~4 km from Napne Waterfall.
- By Air: Sindhudurg Airport (Chipi): ~94 km from Vaibhavwadi,
Best Time to Visit:
- September to early February: Ideal for clear views and pleasant weather
- Monsoon (June–August): Waterfall is at peak flow, surrounding greenery rejuvenated (exercise caution while trekking)
